The Full Story
The Southwest Corridor Park Conservancy (SWCPC) was founded in 2004.

Its primary purpose is to raise funds to facilitate the improvement, maintenance, management, and programming of the open space, recreational, cultural, and civic improvements of the South End/Back Bay section of the Southwest Corridor Park. It does this through partnerships with government agencies, funding sources, park stewards, and community interests.

In addition to fundraising the Conservancy also organizes and oversees a network of volunteers and park stewards. Volunteers transplant, weed, prune and do general clean-up on various days during the spring, summer and fall. Park stewards manage a designated area within the park.
