Southwest Corridor Park Conservancy
Restoring, maintaining and enhancing Boston's beloved linear park for the enjoyment of all. Join us in caring for this urban oasis.
The Corridor
What we call “The Corridor” is Section 1 of the Southwest Corridor Park—the South End/Back Bay section running between Harcourt and Camden Streets.
The Southwest Corridor Park stretches 4 miles from Back Bay to Forest Hills. The Conservancy, in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, stewards this first section: 31 gardens and green spaces that connect our neighborhoods.

From Concrete to Community
Discover how Boston stopped a highway and created one of America's most remarkable urban parks.
In the 1960s, this land was slated for a 12-lane expressway. Through community activism and visionary leadership, it became a 4.1-mile greenway connecting neighborhoods instead of dividing them.
Connecting Communities Through Green Space
We preserve and enhance The Corridor for the enjoyment of all—stewards of 31 gardens and vital green space in the heart of Boston's South End and Back Bay.
